Apeiron, the upcoming game on Ronin Network

Sky Mavis, the organization behind the once-famous Axie Infinity, has just announced a partnership with game studio Foonie Magus to launch Apeiron on Ronin Network.

Through this collaboration with Apeiron, the Axie Infinity team aims to bring a new breakthrough for Ronin Network—a sidechain originally built by Axie Infinity on Ethereum but now evolving into a dedicated blockchain for the web3 gaming ecosystem.

Commenting on this milestone, Sky Mavis CEO and Co-Founder Trung Nguyen stated:

"Sky Mavis is on the path to becoming the best place to build and grow web3 games. The leadership team at Foonie Magus has shipped over 140 games and has decades of experience in both web2 and web3. I believe Apeiron, with its gameplay somewhat reminiscent of Axie Infinity, will be a crucial piece for the current Ronin community."

Before Apeiron, the company announced 5 other games in March this year. Since July, there have been rumors that Sky Mavis is in talks with Midway Games, the publisher of Mortal Kombat, to bring the fighting game to Ronin. According to Sky Mavis, the number of daily active addresses on Ronin last month increased by 300%.

Apeiron is a battle card game with a playable demo available on Epic Game Store. The project plans to launch a mobile version in the first quarter of 2024.

Following the “shocking” hack that caused over half a billion USD in damages last year, Sky Mavis is gradually recovering and rebuilding its reputation with several important integrations. From listing Axie Infinity on the App Store, launching the NFT marketplace Mavis Market, to opening RON staking, releasing a series of games on this sidechain, and partnering with Grab Philippines to offer reward points to users...

RON's price has shown positive movement in the past 24 hours and is currently trading around $1.44. On a monthly and yearly timeframe, RON has increased by 145% and 468%, respectively.
