Additionally, exchanges such as Upbit and OKX have temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals of Aptos' token (APT).

In response to the situation, the project confirmed network issues and is actively working to resolve them.

Notably, today marks the 1-year anniversary since the mainnet launch of the network, and this appears to be the first prolonged network downtime incident.

APT prices have shown slight movements following the news and are currently trading around $4.9 USD, down over 1% in the past 24 hours.

Aptos has been a prominent layer-1 blockchain over the past year, launching its mainnet in October 2022 and making waves with a thousand-dollar airdrop campaign. The project successfully raised $350 million through multiple funding rounds.

Integration with the Indian social media platform Chingari has led to a 900% surge in new users on the layer-1 network by the end of July. Aptos currently has a Total Value Locked (TVL) of approximately $64 million, surpassing its competitor Sui, according to DeFi Llama data.
