as Hero game temporarily shuts down, reverts to beta version
Gas Hero, a game developed by StepN Find Satoshi Lab, has announced a temporary closure due to various challenges in optimizing the product.
According to a message shared with the community on Discord, Gas Hero stated that it has faced difficulties due to a desire for rapid success. To address this situation, the project has decided to temporarily shut down and revert to a closed beta version.
Subsequently, Gas Hero presented two options to players: stay or leave. For those choosing to stay, their in-game assets will be retained, and they can participate in testing and provide feedback to developers.
For those opting to leave, players are required to actively remove their in-game assets, which will be converted into FSL or GMT points, usable in future projects.
The announcement of Gas Hero's temporary shutdown comes shortly after the game celebrated $90 million in NFT transactions in January. The project launched six NFT collections, all leading in transaction volume, underscoring Gas Hero's significant appeal.
Gas Hero is developed by Find Satoshi Lab, the team behind the popular Move-to-Earn game StepN. Following StepN's success, Find Satoshi Lab allocated over 2 million GMT (valued at approximately $400,000) for marketing and user acquisition for Gas Hero in July 2023.
Recently, the company also decided to allocate an additional 14 million GMT for participants in Gas Hero Clan Wars PvP battles. As of February 23, the game project still posted information about the finals.
Gas Hero currently boasts over 10,000 active users. Players can experience the game without downloading it, available on both mobile devices and computers.
