AVAIL Token Functions
Initial information reveals that AVAIL tokens will serve functions including transaction fees, staking, and governance activities.
Avail is a modular infrastructure project that was spun off from Polygon following changes in ownership mechanisms in March 2023. Earlier in 2024, Avail announced the completion of a seed funding round, raising $27 million. The project focuses on developing three main product areas:
- Avail DA: A layer handling Data Availability to reduce data availability pressure for Rollups
- Avail Nexus: A platform to enhance user experience in cross-chain transactions
- Avail Fusion: A Restaking platform to support capital reuse from various asset types
Avail has indicated that approximately 360,000 wallets are eligible for the airdrop. Users have until May 4, 2024, to claim their airdropped tokens.
