Azuki Announces New Products for 2024 and NFT Collector Rewards Mechanism

Azuki has unveiled Collector Status 1.0, a points-based reward system for its blue-chip NFT community, alongside several other updates in its 2024 development roadmap.

To mark its 2-year anniversary, Azuki previewed upcoming product launches, marking a transition from the "Elementals" drama of mid-2023.

Initially an anime-themed NFT collection, Azuki is expanding its brand and intellectual property ownership through three main product branches: Animated Films, Real-world Collectibles, and Gaming.

Specifically, Azuki will collaborate with Japan's Dentsu animation studio and renowned director Goro Taniguchi to produce an anime series set in the Azuki world, with the first episode scheduled for Q2/2024. Azuki also revealed ongoing development of additional short and feature-length animated projects.

In the realm of collectible items, Azuki plans to expand its range of physical products for the community, either self-designed or in partnership with other prominent brands, starting with the BEANZ x BROWN model.

In 2024, Azuki will launch a mobile game utilizing BEANZ NFTs and explore opportunities to develop additional large-scale games.

The most notable announcement from the project is the introduction of Collector Status 1.0, which includes 4 levels - Esteemed, Grand, Legend, and The Order - awarded to each member of the Azuki community based on emblematic achievements in their NFT collection journey. These levels will subsequently be used by Azuki to calculate rewards for future plans.

The NFT community has been abuzz with rumors that Azuki is preparing to issue a token, hinted at through its connection with the Weeb3 Foundation project. Collector Status 1.0 may serve as part of this token issuance plan.

NFT floor prices within the Azuki ecosystem showed minimal fluctuations at the time of the 2024 roadmap and new rewards mechanism announcement, with BEANZ seeing an increase of nearly 10%.
