BNB Greenfield Officially Launches Mainnet

After 8 months since its announcement, the data storage blockchain BNB Greenfield has officially launched its mainnet tonight.

On the evening of October 17, the decentralized data storage solution built on BNB Chain infrastructure, known as BNB Greenfield, commenced its mainnet deployment after over a year of testing and development.

Greenfield is introduced as a solution supporting users and dApps within the BNB Chain ecosystem to create, store, and transact data within a shared economy.

BNB Greenfield is structured around 3 main pillars:

• BNB Greenfield Core: A blockchain focusing on data storage aspects and a network of storage service providers, including both crypto and traditional entities. Data stored with service providers will be cross-checked with on-chain data to ensure accuracy.
• BNB Greenfield dApps: A collection of decentralized applications facilitating user interaction and data storage on Greenfield.
• BNB Smart Chain: BNB Greenfield will utilize cross-chain bridges to transfer data with BNB Smart Chain, a sidechain within BNB Chain that supports smart contract functionality.

With cross-chain capabilities, robust bandwidth, and data access permissions, the network has processed over 200,000 transactions from 150,000 wallet addresses during its testing phase.
