In an effort to decentralize decision-making related to the AtomOne blockchain hard fork, Cosmos co-founder Jae Kwon is launching GovGen as an independent voting forum for the blockchain.

Following conflicts surrounding the proposal to reduce inflation rates for the ATOM token last November, co-founder Jae Kwon advocated for branching the Cosmos Hub to create AtomOne, also known as a hard fork of Cosmos.
As of today (February 27), Jae Kwon has confirmed the launch of a new governance forum for AtomOne called GovGen, established by his company All in Bits.

Speaking to the media, Jae Kwon stated:
"The concept of GovGen arose from diverging views on the Cosmos Hub's Proposal 848."
He continued:
"With GovGen, I aim to demonstrate how we can or should utilize governance voting options from delegates and validators to help shape the blockchain's development, whether that involves forking or branching any PoW blockchain to maintain its properties or implement new improvements."
