According to a tweet from developer terence.eth, the Sepolia testnet has successfully deployed the Shanghai upgrade, also known as Shapella. However, the developer noted some issues with outdated client versions.

"Some Prysm validators failed to sync with the network due to using an old version of Geth. They should be back online within the next 10 minutes. The network's next step will be to testnet Goerli."

The Ethereum Foundation clarified that the name “Shapella” is a combination of “Shanghai” (the Execution layer upgrade) and “Cappella” (the Consensus layer upgrade).
