Etherscan Launches Code Reader Tool - Integrating AI for Smart Contract Exploration

On-chain data tracker Etherscan has introduced a new tool integrating OpenAI's model to help users explore the source code of smart contracts.

Etherscan Launches AI-Powered Code Reader Tool

Etherscan has rolled out a new tool named "Code Reader," which aims to assist users in evaluating and understanding the components and functions within smart contracts. According to Etherscan, this tool utilizes AI technology to provide answers, helping users grasp the intricacies of the code.

Currently, Etherscan has made the Code Reader feature available in Beta.

Applications of Code Reader

In addition to other applications, Etherscan mentions that the tool can be used to list functions for reading and writing data on the Ethereum blockchain. This tool can also be employed to understand which lines of code are suitable for integration into smart contracts for decentralized applications.

However, Etherscan warns that the OpenAI API code has a limited usage capacity. The platform also advises users that not all answers generated by the AI will be 100% accurate.

To get started, users can input their API code, the smart contract address, and select the appropriate source file to interact with. Following this, users can engage in Q&A sessions with the tool.
