Google Cloud Becomes Validator for Tezos Blockchain
Google Cloud, the cloud services arm of the tech giant Google, will become one of the validators for the proof-of-stake Tezos blockchain.

According to the announcement, Google Cloud's enterprise clients will now be able to deploy nodes on Tezos, running blockchain software to validate and store transaction history, thus facilitating the development of Web3 applications on the network.
Additionally, several startups incubated by Tezos will also benefit from guidance and support from Google Cloud.
James Tromans, Google Cloud’s Web3 Engineering Director, stated:
“At Google Cloud, we provide secure and reliable infrastructure for Web3 founders and developers to innovate and scale their applications. We anticipate that the reliability and scalability of Google Cloud will energize Web3 applications on Tezos.”
This isn’t Google Cloud’s first foray into blockchain technology. In September 2022, the company operated a validator on the Ronin network, a sidechain of Ethereum focused on gaming.
A month later, Google Cloud launched a blockchain node storage tool for Ethereum developers. By November, Google Cloud confirmed its role as a validator for Solana via the BigQuery platform.
These integrations underscore the growing interest of tech giants in blockchain and Web3 projects. Recently, Dell also announced its integration with the Hedera network, alongside IBM and ServiceNow.
