MixMob, the racing game, has announced the acquisition of rights to use the iconic Original Stormtrooper imagery from the 1977 film "Star Wars: A New Hope."

The license permits MixMob to integrate the iconic Star Wars imagery into their racing game, Racer 1, in the form of NFTs. The game is set to debut in Q2 2024, as stated in a press release by the company.

This agreement marks the beginning of MixMob's strategy to acquire rights for prominent characters. The company plans to secure three additional licenses in 2024.
MixMob is a card-based racing game on Solana, described by the company as a blend of "Clash Royale and Mario Kart." Currently available on PC, it has plans for a mobile version launch in Q2.
According to a post on MixMob, the company raised $7 million approximately two years ago, with investments from Solana Ventures, DeFiance Capital, Ascensive Assets, Merit Circle Investor, Genblock Capital, and others.
