Neon Labs Moves to Mainnet
Machine (EVM) solution tailored for Solana developers, has officially launched its mainnet as of today, December 12.

Neon Labs is the first Ethereum Virtual Machine designed specifically for the Solana ecosystem. It uses the NEON token for transaction fees and governance participation.
What is Mainnet?
In essence, an EVM is a standardized virtual machine that enables DeFi applications to run on the Ethereum ecosystem. However, due to Solana's unique architecture, this solution was previously unsupported, meaning Ethereum-compatible projects could not be deployed on Solana.
Neon Labs' infrastructure acts as a bridge, facilitating the seamless migration of pure Ethereum applications to Solana while leveraging the strengths of both platforms. Neon Labs is also working on achieving full compatibility between Ethereum and Solana applications. Established projects like Aave and Curve are already prepared to utilize this EVM.
Marina Guryeva, CEO and founder of the project, stated:
“Neon EVM combines the best of Ethereum and Solana, and it will forever be the Ethereum killer.”
