Bitcoin ETF Redemptions Erase a Four-Day Inflow Streak
What happened: US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $643.
What happened: US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $643.33 million in net outflows on October 30, their largest daily withdrawal total of the month, following the Binance attack. The reversal erased approximately $440.73 million of inflows accumulated from Monday through Thursday and left the week approximately $202.6 million negative, with BlackRock, Fidelity and ARK products leading the exits. Ether ETFs lost approximately $156 million that day, extending their outflow streak to five sessions and bringing combined Bitcoin and Ether ETF redemptions close to $800 million.
Why it matters: The figures show that selling pressure appeared in investment products beyond Binance customer accounts, although the timing alone does not establish the motivation of every investor who redeemed. Bitcoin ETFs finished October with roughly $516 million in net outflows, putting the sharp daily reversal within a negative monthly result. Even so, one session and one month's balance do not establish a lasting institutional retreat; subsequent sessions will help distinguish a temporary reduction in exposure from a more persistent allocation change.
