Grayscale Zcash ETF Crosses $1B AUM, But Inflows Under 30%
What happened: Grayscale’s Zcash ETF (ZCSH) surpassed $1 billion in assets under management within its first 30 trading days, ranking in the top 1% of ETF launches by first-month AUM.
What happened: Grayscale’s Zcash ETF (ZCSH) surpassed $1 billion in assets under management within its first 30 trading days, ranking in the top 1% of ETF launches by first-month AUM. However, only about $306 million of that total represents net inflows; the remainder is due to ZEC price appreciation. Grayscale’s Krista Lynch noted that SEC listing standards now cover about 15 tokens, allowing ETF issuers to diversify beyond Bitcoin and Ether. The ZCSH ETF was listed on NYSE Arca on August 25, 2026.
Why it matters: The ZCSH milestone signals growing institutional interest in non-Bitcoin, non-Ether crypto assets, but the headline figure overstates organic demand. With less than 30% of AUM from new inflows, price action rather than new capital is driving the ETF’s growth. The SEC’s broader listing standards could pave the way for more diverse crypto ETFs, but the market remains highly concentrated and narrative-driven.
