Securitize and Neuberger Berman Launch $230B Tokenized Fixed-Income Fund Across Four Chains

What happened: Securitize and Neuberger Berman have launched the Neuberger Securitize High Income Tokenized Fund (HINC), marking Neuberger’s first onchain fund engagement. The offering, available on Avalanche, Ethereum, Solana, and Sui, brings Neuberger’s $230 billion fixed-income platform onchain, targeting accredited investors with KYC/AML. Securitize’s tokenized RWA AUM now stands at approximately $5 billion, with prior mandates from BlackRock, Apollo, and others. The launch comes as Securitize’s own shares (SECZ) fell 20% last week after missing Q2 revenue forecasts ($14.4M vs $20.6M expected) and posting a $21.7M net loss.

Why it matters: This is a significant step for institutional adoption of tokenized real-world assets, with a major asset manager entering the onchain space. However, the rapid growth narrative for tokenized RWAs is contrasted by Securitize’s financial results, raising questions about the near-term profitability of the sector. The multi-chain approach also signals a move toward broader interoperability for tokenized funds.
