Over 1,000 Solana Nodes Disconnected Due to Cloud Provider Blockage
Solana has encountered another bizarre issue, this time with over 1,000 nodes being disconnected due to a cloud service provider blockage.

On the evening of November 2nd, reports emerged that more than 1,000 nodes on the Solana blockchain were disconnected, resulting in over 22% of SOL staking not receiving transaction confirmation rewards.

This incident has pushed the percentage of SOL staking that is not receiving rewards due to node connectivity issues to its highest level since May 1st, when Solana's blockchain experienced an 8.5-hour outage.
Despite this, transaction activity on the Solana blockchain remained unaffected, as the remaining nodes were still sufficient to maintain the network.

The issue arose because Hetzner, a cloud service provider, blocked Solana’s access. Previously, in August, Hetzner had announced it would cease providing services for cryptocurrency mining, starting with Ethereum.
Solana’s founder, Anatoly Yakovenko, has urged affected nodes to switch to a new cloud service provider.

The price of Solana (SOL) has been somewhat affected by this news and the broader crypto market conditions, experiencing a slight decline over the past 24 hours, even though it was expected to respond positively due to Meta's upcoming support for NFTs on Solana.

However, SOL may have a chance to recover with the upcoming Solana Breakpoint Conference in Lisbon, Portugal, from November 4th to 7th, which is expected to bring the latest news and developments about the Solana ecosystem.
