In a video posted by CEO Luca Netz on X, he shared the latest progress on the plush toy sales revenue of this NFT project, achieving the milestone of 1 million sales in less than a year since its launch.

He also revealed upcoming collaboration with other retailers, including reorders from retail giants like Walmart, and orders from Target, Smiths, Hot Topic, and retailers across Asia and globally.

Nez shared: "In terms of quantity, this is my biggest success in consumer product field so far."

He expressed appreciation for the project's success at a time when many other NFT projects are cooling off and not attracting public attention. Pudgy Penguins CEO stated: "I respect what others are doing, but that depends on many factors in the future. At present, these little penguins have entered the world of the largest retailers."

Previously, the Pudgy Penguins toy collection had been placed in over 2,000 stores within Walmart's retail network in the US. Each Pudgy Toy grants access to Pudgy World, an open world where players can freely build their characters and interact with others.

The buzz around the Pudgy Penguins NFT collection, along with announcements of upcoming metaverse development plans, quickly propelled the project beyond the floor price of Bored Ape Yacht Club earlier this year. The project also plans to launch the alpha version of Pudgy World on the zkSync Era blockchain in 2024.
