The Solana development team has just launched a plugin that allows users to connect the blockchain with the AI tool ChatGPT.

Solana has announced that this new tool is fully open-source and available for download on GitHub, as previously hinted at by the project in late April.

This plugin enables direct integration of ChatGPT with Solana, allowing it to perform tasks such as answering technical questions, querying blockchain transaction data, guiding users through money transfers, buying and selling, and listing NFTs.

Solana’s development team hopes that integrating ChatGPT will simplify the onboarding process for everyday users, potentially welcoming millions of new users to the ecosystem.

Tal Tchwella, Product Director at Solana Labs, stated: “We believe that blockchain technology has become overly technical. Bringing ChatGPT to Solana will provide a new opportunity for more people to interact with it and understand what’s happening.”

Additionally, the Solana Foundation has announced a $10 million grant program for projects developing AI applications on Solana. The fund has already received applications from over 50 projects.
