Sony Network Communications, a business unit of Sony Group Corporation, is partnering with multichain smart contract network Astar Network to roll out a Web3 incubator program. This initiative is aimed at projects exploring NFT utility and DAOs.

According to a press release, the Web3 incubator program will be hosted by Startale Labs, a Singapore-based company founded by Astar Network CEO Sota Watanabe. The program will run from mid-March to mid-June of this year. Applications for the program opened on February 17 and will close on March 6.

Participants accepted into the program will be divided into 10 to 15 teams, with sessions provided by prominent crypto investment funds such as Dragonfly, Fenbushi Capital, and Alchemy Venture.

Sony Network Communications aims to explore how blockchain technology can address various challenges within their industry through this program. Additionally, projects within the program may be considered for investment by Sony Network Communications.

This incubator program is part of Astar Network’s ongoing partnership with companies seeking to explore Web3 technology use cases. Just last week, one of the first parachains to join the Polkadot ecosystem also partnered with automotive giant Toyota for a Web3 hackathon competition.
