The Genesis sneaker collection is the result of a collaboration between STEPN, Spanish football club Atlético de Madrid, and cryptocurrency exchange WhaleFin, launched in August 2022. The collection comprises a total of 1,001 football-themed NFTs.

According to Wu Blockchain, STEPN will be conducting a massive airdrop for those holding Genesis sneaker NFTs. The distribution will be tiered as follows: 4,000 GMT for gray sneakers, 8,000 GMT for green sneakers, 16,000 GMT for blue sneakers, and the highest tier of 32,000 GMT for purple sneakers.
STEPN's Twitter account has also announced the event, noting that NFTs must be kept in the wallet and not listed for sale on NFT marketplaces. Each NFT holder will receive one airdrop allocation per NFT, meaning 10 NFTs will earn 10 airdrop allocations. The project has already taken a snapshot of the wallets holding Genesis sneakers as of February 12.
