The largest telecommunications company in China has launched the LinkNFT platform in Hong Kong

China Mobile Hong Kong (CMHK), the largest state-owned telecommunications company in China, has unveiled LinkNFT, an NFT trading platform in Hong Kong. This move signifies CMHK's foray into the Web3 space, targeting primarily enterprises and organizations. LinkNFT enables users to mint and trade NFTs across SocialFi, DeFi, GameFi, and other sectors.

Currently hosting 30 NFTs, LinkNFT aims to scale up to 500,000 items as part of its expansion strategy. In addition to their collectible value, NFT holders on LinkNFT will enjoy exclusive perks from CMHK. Images of NFTs available on LinkNFT have been shared by users across various platforms.

Last year, CMHK introduced MyLink, a Web3 app that has attracted over 7 million users. MyLink includes the LinKey Web3 wallet, and now, LinkNFT further enriches CMHK's Web3 ecosystem.

Tan Hui, CEO of China Mobile Hong Kong MyLink, commented:

"Web3.0 applications are transitioning from virtual to real through Dapps. Currently, MyLink is actively expanding the Web3.0 application ecosystem to establish an identity system for all Hong Kong citizens."

The telecom industry's move into the Web3 market is becoming commonplace. In October 2023, SK Telecom, South Korea's largest telecom company, announced a partnership with CryptoQuant to launch a cryptocurrency wallet, positioning itself for the future adoption of digital currencies.

This trend highlights telecom companies' adaptation to the evolving digital landscape and the increasing integration of blockchain technology and Web3 applications into mainstream services.
