During the past week, leading decentralized exchange Uniswap has transferred 9.8 million UNI tokens to centralized exchanges (CEXs), valued at nearly $41 million USD.

According to PeckShieldAlert, the Custody-labeled wallet of Uniswap Foundation reportedly distributed 9.8 million UNI tokens (approximately $40.9 million USD) to CEX addresses over the past five days. Specifically, the transactions include:
- 3.4 million UNI sent to FalconX
- 3.4 million UNI sent to OKX
- 3 million UNI sent to Wintermute on Kraken
These transfers to CEX exchanges come shortly after the project unlocked 10.68 million UNI tokens (worth about $47.12 million USD) on October 21, hinting at potential profit-taking preparations.

Uniswap is the top decentralized exchange (DEX) by user volume. The project sparked controversy when it implemented a 0.15% trading interface fee in mid-October. According to DeFiLlama, during the week of October 22-28, Uniswap earned $445,300 USD from trading fees. The project's total revenue amounted to $23.15 million USD, significantly surpassing competitors such as Pancakeswap ($484,900 USD), Curve ($385,800 USD), and Balancer ($122,300 USD).
The UNI token is currently priced at $4.1 USD, with no immediate market reaction to the news of the project's transfers to CEX exchanges.
