Audius Integrates with TikTok for the Second Time

On the evening of February 23, CoinDesk reported that Web3 music platform Audius has once again teamed up with the popular video social network TikTok.

With this integration, users can now sign up for Audius using their TikTok accounts, seamlessly transferring their personal information and verification status from TikTok to Audius.

Additionally, TikTok users can now access Audius's music library and use it in the videos they create on TikTok.

Forrest Browning, CPO and founder of Audius, expressed excitement about this integration, noting that it is expected to attract a significant number of influencers from TikTok.

As previously reported by Coin68, Audius first collaborated with TikTok in August 2021 to build TikTok Sounds. This integration allowed Audius users to publish songs created on the platform directly to TikTok.

At that time, Audius's AUDIO token doubled in value, pushing its market capitalization over $1 billion. Similarly, the announcement of this new collaboration has sparked a strong reaction in AUDIO's price.

However, such rapid growth is often unsustainable, and as of the time of writing, AUDIO is trading around $0.33.

In September 2021, Audius closed a $5 million funding round with notable participants including Katy Perry, Nas, and The Chainsmokers.

TikTok, for its part, appears to be gradually shifting its focus towards blockchain, particularly in the NFT space. The short-form video platform released its first NFT collection in October 2021.
